The approach to Commercial Real Estate here in Panama is not like the markets seen in Dubai or even in the UK. The idea that a small investor might purchase a floor in a building to then lease  the floor out to smaller corporation acting as a landlord has not hit this market yet, but it should do for a number of reasons.

Even in the global downturn companies in Panama are growing and companies need office space in good locations that reflect their companies image. Most of the business is done in the banking district and with the expansion of the Avenida Balbo the traffic congestion in these areas will be eased.

I know a number of developers who are looking for small equity investor of commercial property buyers to help them in the projects. The returns are much higher that what can achieved in the residential investment markets he in Panama.

There is a major shortage of office space in the city and the commercial markets are looking for investors.
