When you think of the tropics, you tend to think of summer weather all year round. And while it's true that Tulum does not necessarily have seasons like its northern neighbor, it does have a "summer".
In Tulum's summer, you will find the water is a little warmer, in fact you probably won't want to get out if it because it is just the perfect temperature. Also, since the sun sets later, people enjoy the beach until quite late. You'll see people laying in the sun until it sets and then enjoying a walk under the big summer moon.
One thing not to miss in Tulum any time of year are Mezzanine's famous margaritas. For some reason we find them especially tasty after laying under the summer sun for a couple hours. Enjoy a beautiful green iguana margarita or any other beautiful colorful tequilla creation on the deck while the waves lap below you. Our advice is to get there between 1 - 4 for the 2-for-1 special....If you can tear yourself away from the water! |
