That’s right the next James Bond Adventure flick will be shot in Panama. Daniel Craig shall star as James Bond, 007 and Judi Dench shall play M in her sixth Bond picture as M. This picture is now being referred to as number 22 in the bond series.
There is an expected 300-400 cast and crewmembers expected to be in Panama. It is rumored that some of the shooting will take place in Colon, which is where our duty free zone is. I can imagine the chases on the ships extending into the streets of the duty free zone with all sort of vehicles, warehouses etc. December 10th has been announced as the official start shooting date. Several years ago Pierce Brosnan did a movie called the Tailor of Panama in which he played a British agent, a bad one though. The movie was not very flattering for Panama. We are hoping for a more positive depiction of Panama in the latest Bond movie. Well we got to hand it to them. Once again just when you think they are going to run out of tricks to keep the real estate and tourism booming they come up with another idea. I am sure the powers that be were extremely nice to the movie producers to encourage them to use Panama. There may be shots taken in Panama that will be depicted as South America in the actual film. Rest assured more films are going to be shot here and I would not be surprised to see a studio open up here. We have a modern city with high rises, parks, beaches, waterfronts, beautiful sunsets etc. Well if we catch them filming on the streets of Panama we will update the site accordingly to let you know where they were shooting.
